I have chosen ‘Lionsgate’ as the production company that
would most likely make my film.
They have made similar films, of the thriller genre. American Psycho was a thriller film with an aspect of horror to it which I think our film has in the rest of the planned plot. Other thriller films produced by Lionsgate are the Saw films. They are psychological thrillers which I feel link closely to our film as the go through torture phases, similar to our plot where being in a confined space trapped would be considered a torture.

I think that my film fits into the ethos of the institution as Lionsgate makes micro-budgeted films. I don't think that my film would need a large budget as there is only one main character which would be the focus, so the cast doesn't need to be large, and there don't need to be very many extras. I think that the locations in my film would be limited as most of it takes place inside the coffin. I also don't feel like the main female role should be played by a big named star because I don't think there should be any pre-emptions of the events in the plot given away by a traditionally rolled genre character. I could see my product being on the website as the theme of the most of the films is quite dark as is mine so i think it would fit in with the themes on their website.

Lionsgate aims most of their films to a younger target audience. I feel that my film fits in with that as my main character empathizes with a young female adult. I feel like my target audience would be of the younger generation because it involves technical elements and fears that younger girls would have.
